About ExactDiff
ExactDiff exists for the moment when “these files look similar” is not a sufficient answer.
Why ExactDiff
Traditional line and cell comparisons create noise when records move, formatting changes, or structured data is reordered. General-purpose AI can summarize a sample but cannot replace a complete, deterministic comparison of every relevant record. ExactDiff focuses on reproducible rules and auditable exceptions.
Private by default
The core tools run in the browser because comparison files often contain operational, financial, customer, legal, or development data. Keeping the work local reduces unnecessary data movement and makes the free tools inexpensive to operate at global scale.
What we are building
The suite starts with spreadsheets, CSV, structured data, PDFs, images, text, and code. The shared engine supports keys, duplicate detection, normalization, tolerances, hashes, and downloadable evidence instead of a collection of unrelated single-use pages.
Product principles
- The real tool appears before marketing decoration.
- Settings that change a result remain visible.
- Private files are not an input for server-side AI.
- Indexable pages must contain a useful, working tool.
- Advertising must never interfere with upload controls or results.
