ExactDiff is designed so the files you compare stay on your device.

ExactDiff processes selected files and pasted content inside your browser. The application does not upload file contents, comparison results, or generated reports to an ExactDiff server. Closing or resetting the page removes in-memory comparison content.
Data the website may receive
Like most websites, the hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
Local browser storage
ExactDiff uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic and Core Web Vitals. It is cookie-free, does not use behavioural profiles or advertising, and never receives files selected in the comparison tools.
Analytics and advertising
ExactDiff does not currently load advertising or behavioral analytics scripts. If advertising is enabled later, consent controls and this policy will be updated before personalized storage is used where required. Advertising will remain separated from upload controls and comparison results.
Third parties
Static site files may be delivered through Cloudflare. Browser libraries needed to parse documents are bundled with the application rather than receiving your selected file contents from a remote API.
Your choices
You may use the core tools without an account. Do not select a file unless you are authorized to process it on your device. You can clear comparison data immediately by choosing “New comparison” or closing the tab.
